Earth 2160 is the first RTS game to implement the latest in graphics technology such as vertex and pixel shaders. The result is a fantastic-looking game - with high system requirements - that lets you switch from a top-down camera view to a first-person view. It's an innovative feature not seen before in games of the strategy genre, and it gives you a chance to jump into the heat of battle up close and personal.
In the world of the game, Earth has been destroyed. Only three factions survive, and they all pack up and move to Mars, where they meet a fourth - alien - faction. you have the choice of playing any of the four. Another unique feature in Earth 2160 is the ability to design your own units - miles ahead of your typical RTS of today - which only adds to the game's already incredible depth. Fans of the autentic DOS game, Earth 2140, and the 2001 version, Earth 2150, undoubtedly will go gaga over this new, hugely improved iteration.
