How to know version numbers of game files
Knowing a version number of a certain game is useful to people in this forum.
Use [url=http://www.uniquedestiny.com/pacman/viewtopic.php?p=17895#17895]this program[/url] to open ClientRegistry.blob in your Steam folder and then open TopKey/ContentDescriptionRecord.
You can see the version number of a certain game in "Current Version" box.

How to check the version number of Steam
1.In your Steam folder there are 2 files - steam_XX.mst and SteamUI_XXX.mst.
XX is the version number.
2.Use ClientRegistry Toolkit to open ClientRegistry.blob in your Steam folder.
The version number is written in TopKey/BootStrapperVersionNum and TopKey/ClientAppVersionNum.
