I have made it possible to download what you need for the online
mods just by enter a server in both quake 1 and 2. If you should
be able to think of something you need- maby a singleplayer mod
or something, try here first:

If you like the games in Steam, (Such as Half-Life and Counter-Strike) then
you should try to download the 2005 releases of these old 3D Shooters !!!

If fx. you like:
"Half-Life DMC" (Death Match Classics) > Try "Quake I"s Online DMC
"Counter-Strike" > You should try the "ACTION QUAKE II" Mod from "Quake II"

All in all: You should try QUAKE I + II - 2005 Online Releases from PaCmAn:

All the 3D Shooter games in steam are really just new "mods" build out of
the old Quake I and II games after all.

Now they are RE-Released again better than ever:

TIP 1:

If you want to save the changes you make in OPTIONS, then you
must goto the "Consol" In the game and write this:

cfg_save NAME
cfg_load NAME

If you want to make the changes permanent, goto the folder of the game, move / delete the existing config.cfg file, change the name of the cfg file you saved to "config", and the changes will now be used as default everytime you startup the game.

TIP 2:

Some of the best servers has password on em, but dont forget about em quite yet, because fx.:
the "XS4ALL Free For All" Servers -> Password is just "XS4ALL" and you are in.

Tip 3:
----------------------------------------------
If you get an error message when trying to login to a server like this:
"MAP NAME is out of date. Please download new version."

You can simply quit the game, goto the game folder and delete the map. When you log back on the server, this map will automatically be downloaded insted of the one you deleted.

Quake I:

I have packed Quake I with ALL the starter-files needed to be able
to download the rest of a game mod, just by logging into a server.

I have counted about 25 online mods available, witch is all playable.

(I have put 2 of the best SINGLE player mods in this pack, just for fun)

Quake II:

All the online game mods dosnt work just with starter-files, but is
all full setups. Thats why I have packed all the mods SEPERAT from
the Quake II setup, so you can choice to install the ones you want
to play (I have packed 15 mods in all for this game).
